Wire is a small web work made during the Communitcation Front workshop in in Plovdiv, Bulgaria in 1999. The empty Ancient Baths used for the workshops were a labyrinth of connecting rooms, radiating from a large central space with layers of peeling murals on the plaster of its walls and ceiling. The building was lit with a mixture of natural light falling through small patterns of holes in the ceilings, and artificial light, making a decorative pattern of wiring through the space. The contradiction of the new media conference in such an ancient building was echoed in the overlaying of power cables onto the whitewashed walls.
